As a new business The Daisy Club needed a brand. The Club had a thrown together logo from Canva that the owner wasn’t happy with. It was too childish and lack individuality. Aside from that, they did not have any brand developed.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Problem solving and creative thinking
- Research – understanding the company and competition to create a logo and brand that fits the company and stands out from competition.
- Communication
The solution was creating a new logo that was better suited for The Daisy Club’s target audience while maintaining a fun and friendly tone. Alongside the logo a easy to follow one-page brand guide was developed to further emphasize The Daisy Club’s values and purpose.
The owner wanted to keep the daisy in the logo so I designed a new daisy that is soft and round. The flower’s shape and the negative space between the petals is reminiscent of wheelchair spokes (a common symbol associated with disabilities). The flower’s shape and yellow center is made to be similar to a sunrise, speaking to positivity and new beginnings. I also chose a font that was bold yet rounded suggesting a friendly, playful and welcoming vibe.
A simplified icon was also created for when the full logo could not be used. Overall, the logo is eye-catching and friendly, while maintaining a sophistication that speaks to their target audience.
