B. Taylor

On Location Portrait Project

Highlights - Tara Mansfield Portfolio. Image of a custodian smiling at the camera holding a cloth and cleaning spray.

As part of the Location Photography course at the University of Guelph-Humber, this portrait series of B. Taylor was created to capture a subject authentically within their workplace environment. The project challenged students to produce compelling images that not only looked visually strong but also told a story about the individual and the space they work in.

The project required students to independently source a subject, arrange access to a professional setting, and secure all necessary permissions and documentation. The portraits were created using Broncolor Move 1200 lighting kits, with a focus on balancing flash and ambient light to produce a natural, professional result.

This series featuring B. Taylor showcases my ability to manage both creative and logistical elements of an on-location shoot, while delivering images that are polished, contextually rich, and visually engaging.
