The Lindt image was the final exam for the Studio Lighting course at Guelph-Humber. We were required to chose a client (in my case it was Lindt) and pitch an image to our professor that we would be taking for the client. Once it was approved we would have 2 hours in the studio designated to us on a specific day to do the shoot. That included setting up, shooting, and doing take down within 2 hours.
The most difficult part was not getting overly stressed about the assignment and the limited time. It required a lot of pre-planning and clarity in what kind of image you wanted to achieve.
For this image, I aimed to create a composition that communicated the smooth decadence of the Lindt Excellence Chocolate Bars. I found a dark fabric that had the feeling of melted chocolate since I did not have the time to melt chocolate for this shoot.
Overall, it was a successful shoot and I created an image that fits Lindt’s brand well.
