As part of my role as a Summer Student for Peterborough County in 2023, I contributed to the planning and production of the County Works video series—an initiative aimed at educating the public about the vital work carried out by the County’s Public Works and Engineering & Design departments.

The series consists of short, informative videos designed to highlight the scope of operations within these departments, from road maintenance to infrastructure development. Published on Peterborough County’s official YouTube channel, each video was also adapted for Instagram and Facebook to reach a broader audience through social media.

I was responsible for filming on location at active work sites while adhering to all required safety protocols. I then edited the footage into concise and engaging videos that effectively communicated the work being done, while maintaining clarity and accessibility for a general audience.

This project was a valuable opportunity to blend technical production skills with public education goals, helping residents better understand and appreciate the essential services that keep the County running.
